Unplugging: Escaping the Digital Curse

Dr. Woody published another article.  You can find Unplugging: Escaping the Digital Curse and at Fox Business.  It talks about how a group of scientist held an informal experiment.  They took a trip without their laptops, PDAs, mobile phones, etc.  In a few days, they all had to admit, they felt much more relaxed.  They felt they had recharged their batteries.

Informally,  I can’t doubt their finding.  Dr. Woody talks about his disconnecting electronically.  I can tell you that when I took a sailing trip in the British Virgin Islands, an area where my mobile phone provider fails to provide connectivity, I so enjoyed the time when:

  •  no one could contact me,
  • I could not check email or the Internet and
  • I could totally disconnect and experienced beauty I’d never seen before.

I’ve go to get back to that and soon.  I’ve got too much going on and it is so tiring.

Give Dr. Woody’s article a read and consider cutting yourself off electronically.

Hope this helps!
